The boreal forest in northern Canada is home to a declining population of Canadian lynx, this magnificent feline that hunts smaller animals such as the snowshoe hare. Trappers continue to slaughter this beautiful animal. Many lynx refuge centers have been set up throughout the North West Territories to help the survival of the lynx species.
Spring Arrival

Spring Arrival is a piece of a lynx mother and its two kittens. I wanted to show the beauty of the land and the things that I remember when I am out hiking or trailing in BC or on Vancouver Island, and I wanted to show the blackberries, thistles and daisies in the array of colours that comes to life here during spring.
