Little Big Dreams

Little Big Dreams

With all eyes upon him
he surrendered to his gift,
and let the wind guide his feet
and the earth hear his moves,
echoing through the hollowness,
straight to the hearts of the people

Awakening those who slept
and reviving those who forgot
what it means to be alive.

I remember this young child performing the Rooster Dance in the interior of BC. In his one hand you can see an eagle's claw on the end of a stick, which is a symbol for strength and great power, and he has a fancy bustle in back of him. He was a very talented dancer competing with a lot of adults, and I was very moved by his performance. I did this picture in memory of him. He would be teenager now as it has been a number of years since I created this picture.
