Secret of the Dance recounts the story of retired BC Provincial Court Judge Alfred Scow, who remembers, as a boy in the 1930s, witnessing his parents and other adults secretly participating in the Potlatch. The Potlatch is a practice of many of the first nations cultures along the BC coast, but was an event that was banned by the government at the time.
